Working on tuning my VE and noticed i seem to have valve rattle during acceleration from a standstill. Doesn't seem to be there while going down the road and hitting passing gear. I'm new to this and I,ve read threw the posts i can find on valve rattle but I'm not coming up with much.

My logs are pretty short, my laptop seems to randomly freeze up while im logging data
"Valve rattle" is detonation or knock. Very bad stuff. I'd recommend you get the fuel out of it and fill it with fresh high octane, 93 preferably. If it still does it you need to start pulling timing in the area where it's knocking. The data log has a ton of knock retard in it.
And the scanner is freezing up because you're logging too many pids. Get rid of a lot of them. All the misfires pids, get rid of them.
Just filled it up with premium, and only put a few miles on it because of the scanner locking up. I?ll try thinning out the pids and look at pulling timing out. Thank you for the reply Sir.Quote:

This should make a difference.
You're right about the Fuel Base spark. I missed that.
He added 8 degrees in a huge rectangle on the main spark tables. I removed that by using the factory hi table and increasing the upper cylair regions to the mid-teens. The increase there was in response to his claim that the factory spark tables wouldn't run well. It should end up higher, but it's a start until airflow is tuned.

That other stuff I was talking about was because there were a lot of problems with the tune in general. Look at over/underspeed, fuel min pulse, rpm limits. All kinds of problems like that.
I agree the tune is a mess I was just singling out the main or root cause. 40+ degrees of timing under load it SHOULD sound like marbles in a can LOL
