running a cable TB on an e38 ecu is it possible?

hey guys, im wanting to run a cable TB on a L98 running and e38 ecu, I am aware that the e38 can not operate an IAC, I am not worried about that, however I notice the e38 want 2 throttle position signals, one in the generic 0-5v and one 5-0v. would it work with just one of these from a regular cable throttle body? would the ecu just go into a limp mode and crack it or would I need to re jig some stuff or..... any help would be much appreciated.
