any truth to this??

Doubt it. I've run ID850s in stock cammed 550rpm Camaros, and the pulse width shows up as 0.5ms with zero startup problems. Ted Jannety is nuts.
I'd have to agree.
Note that he completely avoids answering my question as to what he thinks the difference is between those two tables.
Looks like its a min off time constant, I'll ask Chris about it when I see him online to see if its something we should add. Sometimes these redundancy things are just that, doesn't always mean we need to add it but we'll take a look.
Ted is always selling what he has. Never will he say something good about another product.
the value in question is an injector minimum OFF time. ie. how long the injector must be off during each injector cycle. ie. even when your injectors are at 100% duty cycle they are still switching off for this minimum amount of time each cycle. It has no bearing on minimum pulse width.
in the thread linked, it looks like although SCT has this param the label contradicts itself. First half says its the minimum injector on time, second half says its the injector off time.
Lol. Awesome.
Injector control Fail/Win/Gay.
Your saying there is a minimum time between pulses that can be adjusted, so when you have 100% duty cycle that means you have the injector open 100% of the time minus this value, so could you extend the limit of a given injector by reducing this value to near 0?
Not planning to try this, just curious.

Haha, I got a few nasty PMs from people after daring to not completely agree with him on some topic or another...

You should have read the discussion I had with him on stock spark plugs. He claims the stock zr1 (also z06) spark plug should be used in applications above 800rwhp.He claims they were enginered for a boosted application by GM. He said this before I stated that the 7.0l NA z06 uses the same spark plug.
Stock spark plugs are to be used in anything under 800rwhp.
He had half of that forum putting STOCK spark plugs in their motors at the stock gap.
He is very well protected on that forum due to his "gifts" to the moderators.
I have a few of his SCT %th Gen tunes for Whipple and KenneBell combos and also simple boltons. You should see his SCT tune for the KenneBell compared to the factory KenneBell tune. :banghead:
None of them had the cranking fuel tables modified. That would have cured his "starting rich" condition.
Id comment but then Id get more PMs from Ted about his 800 Gen5 Custom tunes he done.
FYI, I spoke with Paul Yaw about this. For Injector Dynamics (and I'm sure this relates to other injectors as well), there is a minimum 0.75ms required time to keep the injector linear. The factory value of 0.8ms is pretty sufficient for all applications.
