2015 GMC Sierra 5.3L Ecotec3 - disable displacement on demand

I did a forum search to disable the DOD, but it seems it mostly done on the older GM vehicles. From what I can see on the 2015 it is a simple enable or disable. I disabled it and took it for a drive, but on the dash I can see it is still transitioning between V4 and V8.

turns out all I had to do is turn up some of the DOD settings to unachievable amounts....discovered this after I found out about advanced settings

It is a simple enable/disable setting. All I have done on both of my last 3 trucks is turn the DOD to disable and it has never dropped into V4 mode.
