It does. My NTK has lasted through nitrous and leaded fuel but people with Bosch sensors are killing them.Quote:

I ordered a 15401 as well and it's the same sensor that my previous NTK sensor was. It was just under ~$86 with my discount!

I'm going to go ahead and subscribe here. I love my 1st Gen AFX setup and if I can't find a replacement sensor when if finally dies, I might have to cry.
We carry every single replacement component on the AFX. Controller, connectors, harness, sensors (several options), etc. We plan to support this product for years to come, so replacement parts are not going away.Quote:

In late 2014, we released the AFR500 which is identical to the AFX and made by ECM. We felt there were excellent reasons to continue the higher quality, higher cost AFX product and now offer both products side by side. The Ballenger Motorsports AFR500 / AFX is for the professional or serious tuner and the NTK AFRM is for the more typical street tuner / budget system.

Thanks for the reply and props for pulling that together. I have a lot or hours/miles on my sensor and that thing is still dead on... So much so that it scares me how repeatable the results are... I shake my head and smile. Again thank you for doing this... The high-temp wire, longer lengths, and what seems like smaller connectors are a nice touch. *edit* after a closer look the connectors are the same size as the older AFX setup.

I haven't. Well, more correctly, the problem I had was my fault for not running a tap into the boss first... Exhaust shop got some splatter in the threads. After I got the sensor out I bought a tap and die so I could chase each time before install it, and when I take it out before putting the plug back in. I'm still on my original sensor and other than that one time (my fault not the sensors) it's been flawless.
Thanks! Great to hear it is working well for you. The connectors are the same. The harness is 100% compatible with the AFR500 & AFX. We increased the wire gauge, added a fuse, improved some joints, improved some connections, & went to higher temp but smaller sleeving on the standard 13ft harness. The AFX sleeving was unnecessarily huge, so by volume the harness is much smaller now and easier to manage and install. We also added a 7ft harness option as well as a 24ft option with additional step up in wire gauge. We also make a much wider variety of sensors available.Quote:

Regarding the thread issue, keep the threads clean. Chasing them with a tap is a great idea. Apply o2 safe anti-seize & don't overtorque the sensor. We've taken several of the Bosch & NTK sensors in and out of various cars and haven't had an issue yet. We have had issues with stock 4 wire sensors in 10+ year old installations
No issues with threads here either. I'm generally very picky on what hole I stick it in.... LOL. Run a tap or thread chaser in bungs that aren't clean and that helps keep the threads clean on the sensor.
