P01 To P59 Swap Fuel Gauge On 98 GMT 400 Chevy

Does anyone know if any OS on the P59 ECM's have the PWM output capability for the fuel gauge using connector C2 pin 38? Or the ability to enable that on? Swapped from a P01 to a P59 running OS 12592618 to get flex fuel and I can't get the fuel gauge to move. I notice in my P01 it has an option to enable the PWM fuel gauge output and is not an option in the P59. I see there is a Fuel Link device I can purchase as a work around, but if I can get this to work direct from the ECM would prefer to go that route.
