Just as the title states.
If you are lean on the wideband. do you decrease the VE numbers in the table or increase them?
Its been a few years since Ive tuned...
and this car is giving me grief, i was ending up into the 200's still lean off the wideband scale.
I guess another way to ask this is.. when decreasing VE, does this INCREASE fueling?
Are you doing this at idle, cruise, or at WOT? Are you boosted? I am learning right now but 200's seem like alot. If you are lean, you increase the number in the VE table. If you are rich you will decrease. This is why you see at higher MAP signals and higher RPM the VE number is larger than around 15kpa and 1200rpm. Hope this helps.

WOT: Cant get it to idle or run let alone this
Boosted: yes
Only way is holding the petal down partial free rev around 2000rpm, where the wide band is lean off the meter (unknown).
Even with 200's in the cells.
maybe this is a bad lambda sensor...
maybe open header is skewing the sensor...

The VE is what it was before the engine change/ cam change/head change/headers etc... fueling has only been changed from dead head to return (hence why IFR is flat now).
I had the VE into the 200's still lean...
I had bumped up Idle spark, its in OL, added 2g/sec to the RAF, widened the STITs, though it doesnt get a chance to idle.
the VE is just out to lunch is my guess...
When lean, you will increase the VE numbers. The PCM then "understands" that more air is flowing into the engine and it will increase the injector pulsewidth.Quote:

Perhaps, however, extremely unlikely as the only thing that has NOT changed are the injectors. It ran like a top before. On the fuel side, its now a return system dialed to 58psi with reference unhooked, hence the flatlined IFR. (but the injector data is fine). I might change it back, undo the reference hose til i get this thing started.Quote:

This is just a guess, but I've once seen a FAST 92 improperly installed, i.e. the original bolts on valley cover were not changed, thus the intake was not sealed well and there was quite lot of air leaks.Quote:
