As the title says... do any of the newer ecu's support 24x cranks
Was the 05 ls2 a 58x with 4x cam ? I remember one of them having a 1 x cam gear for some reason ?
Anybody ?

The E40 suppoorts 24x crank 1x cam signals. It was used in the first LS2 cars that did not have 58x/4x signals.
MikeOD is correct, E40 was a short lived ECM that served as a transition for GM from Gen III to Gen IV. An 05 LS2 will have a 24x/1x reluctor setup and would have come with an E40. 06 LS2 in a Vette would have 58x/4x, every other LS2 for 06 was still 24x/1x (in the US). 07+ were all 58x/4x.
Very interesting thank you for the response .
So would the e40 be a good ecu to boost ? and do i have to run a separate tcm ?
Mainly are the spark airmass tables scale able ?
Yes on TCM required. Spark airmass axis. Doesnt appear to be editable.
You can scale the entire tune however to get around the 512g/sec airflow limit and will increase the headroom you have on the spark airmass table as well.
Right ... but it will become a tuning nightmare and throw off all other tables .... and it probably wont report correct injector duty cycle right ?
