e-fans won't turn off
installed a set of e-fans on a 00 silverado with a 4.3l. it has 01 ecu. wired them up just like on my Tahoe and every other gm v8 truck I've done. when the key is on the fans are off like suppose to be. i can command them on and off with logger. when engine is running they are on all the time. i can command them off with logger but they won't go off by there selves.
here is the tune.

I had an exact same situation a couple weeks ago with a 2000 silverado. I used a 2002 OS and they work as their supposed to. I've been working with support to fix it. I'm hoping they come up with something soon.

so it may be in the os then?

Yeah, email bill Support @ hptuners dot com and link him to this thread. Maybe it will help get the problem solved sooner for both you and me.

I'm having the same issue on my 2000 truck as well. Actually, they do turn off, but only when the truck hits a certain speed (45 I think). As long as I am below that speed, they stay on low when they should be off.
There is no table for a minimum speed/always on or whatever it is.
How do I upgrade to the 2002 OS?

Bumping this up to see if there was a solution....
I just installed fans on my 01 Tahoe last night using a single speed relay configuration using blue-42 as ground trigger. With engine on (cold) and A/C off, the fans are running but I can command them off with VCM controls so I know the wiring is correct. I did set my A/C pressure pretty low at 32 but I didn't think that came into play unless the A/C was ON.
