First start on car and the car pops bad. Did data log and it looks as though it's taking timing from the lower half of the left side of the map and down. Any ideas why it would do this? Maf is facing in the right direction and everything is plugged in correctly.
Your MAF is upside down.
they do have an arrow on mafs for begginers :doh:
The arrow is pointing towards the TB. Double and triple checked and the coupler is on very tight. Im running pure maf mode as well.
if its pure MAF, what kind of MAP sensor do you have installed? Is it calibrated right? Post up your file with a log.
One reason could be the throttle body not opening enough at idle. Causing a big enough vacuum for the MAF to read high. What TB are you using?
I notice on the log file with the Key on car off and scanning the histogram plot is sitting at 0.0 rpm and .52 g/cyl instead of 0 and .08. Factory MAP sensor with factory cal. Stock throttle body.
try setting your EQ Ratio minimum to 1.0. Your commanding 2.90 that doesn't even move when you crank the motor. Looks like your asking for too much fuel so its flooding the motor.
That wouldn't make the ECU use timing from the wrong part of the MAP. And where? in my tune its 1.0 by 111* and up?
Then the MAF is wired wrong.
Checked MAF wiring as well. Current performance did my harness and they wired in an LS7 MAF connector. I checked the pinouts and they are dead on. Could the MAF itself just be bad? I noticed in my tune I had the p0101 106 121 tests set to turn on at MAX temp..so the MAF test never ran. Maybe the maf itself is bad? Would a bad maf do this?
Its using the timing from your cranking spark which is set at 11.
You still haven't gotten the motor to warm up let alone idle for a second to see what timing is coming from where.
Your commanding a shit load of fuel at start up, from where, thats a pain in the ass finding out. Do you have your stock file you can compare this to?
Well fuck. I'm out of logical ideas. Remove the MAF and spray it down with some brake cleaner and inspect the air meter. There could either be a piece of trash stuck on it or it is broken/fried.Quote:

No that shouldn't be a problem. It will still show if there is a problem with the MAF sensor. Do you not have any DTCs? Unplug the maf and crank the motor.Quote:
